Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur thermischen Aktivierung von mineralischen Materialien, wobei die Vorrichtung einen Calcinator (40), eine Reduktionsvorrichtung und einen Materialkühler (70) aufweist, wobei der Calcinator (40) und die Reduktionsvorrichtung zur Überführung von calciniertem Material miteinander verbunden sind, wobei die Reduktionsvorrichtung mit dem Materialkühler (70) zur Überführung von farboptimiertem Material verbunden ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Reduktionsvorrichtung ein Wirbelschichtreaktor (50) ist.
