The invention relates to a ventilation profile (1), comprising: - a base section (5) forming a substantially flat surface (8) defining an imaginary plane; - a first spacer section (6) extending from a longitudinal edge (10) of the base section (5) defining a first spacer (11) in a direction transverse to the imaginary plane (8), wherein the first spacer section (6) comprises ventilation openings (12); - a second spacer section (7) extending from an outward edge (13) of the first spacer section (6), wherein at least a part of the second spacer section (7) extends backward towards the imaginary plane (8); and - wherein the first and second spacer section (6, 7) each define a respective first and second offset (14, 15) of a second spacer (17) in a direction parallel to the imaginary plane (8). The invention further relates to a cladding system (4) comprising such a ventilation profile (1), and to a method of arranging such a ventilation profile (1) into a cavity space (2) of a cladding system (4).
