METHODS FOR FORMING PARTS BY SPARK PLASMA SINTERING AND ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Methods and apparatus for manufacturing a sintered powder manufactured item having an inhomogeneous internal and/or external geometry is provided. Processes and apparatus may comprise fabricating a sacrificial mold to be placed in a sintering die to create a sintering assembly, where the sintering assembly has a geometrically uniform external contour and defines an inner volume having at least one fillable space that is geometrically inhomogeneous. The part material is selected to have a lower sintering temperature than the at least one mold material such that when sintering the filled sintering assembly at a sintering temperature the at least one mold material remains unsintered and at least one powder part material sinters to form a sinter manufactured item having a shape defined by the inner volume of the sintering assembly.
L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil de fabrication d'un article fabriqué en poudre frittée ayant une géométrie interne et/ou externe inhomogène. Des procédés et un appareil peuvent comprendre la fabrication d'un moule sacrificiel à placer dans une matrice de frittage pour créer un ensemble de frittage, l'ensemble de frittage ayant un contour externe géométriquement uniforme et définissant un volume interne ayant au moins un espace remplissable qui est géométriquement inhomogène. Le matériau de pièce est sélectionné pour avoir une température de frittage inférieure à celle dudit au moins un matériau de moule de telle sorte que, lors du frittage de l'ensemble de frittage rempli à une température de frittage, ledit au moins un matériau de moule reste non fritté et au moins un matériau de pièce en poudre se fritte pour former un article fabriqué par frittage ayant une forme définie par le volume interne de l'ensemble de frittage.
