Evaluation of UE Exercises using NAO Robot for Poststroke Disabilities
In recent years, the number of stroke patients has increased due to the growing number of elderly populations. Intensive therapy aids recovery by generating new neural connections in the brain, resulting in improved motor abilities. Robot-assisted therapy has become one of the fastest-growing technological fields in post-stroke rehabilitation due to its capacity to do exceedingly repetitive actions with minimal supervision. This paper emphasizes the relevance of humanoid robots in the realm of healthcare. To begin, we compiled a comprehensive library of rehabilitation exercises and divided them into two categories: Range of Motion and Strengthening exercises. The exercises were then assessed using a variety of measures, including failure rate, execution time, and degree of accuracy.
