Traffic Influence of Road Traffic Fire Based on VISSIM
With the development of social economic and increasing of vehicle, car fires occur frequently. It not only brings huge losses of life and property, but also disturbs urban traffic operation, thus brings bad impact on urban transportation that in turn influences the rescue efficiency. In this paper, the characteristics of traffic fire and traffic influence of fire are discussed at first, and then simulation experiments on traffic operation before and after fires are conducted using VISSIM software. The test results show that the fire accident will bring big delays and long queue length to upstream traffic flow but the influence will be significantly reduced after taking some reasonable traffic restrictions.
