Transient Analysis of DC Shunt Motor Supplied by Stand-alone PV System Employing FOCV for MPPT
this paper offered a photovoltaic generator powering a DC Shunt motor employing fractional open circuit voltage technique for tracking the maximum power for the sake of achieving and extracting the extremist power from PV generating plant. Power electronic equipment like DC-DC converter are used with PV systems to guarantee maximum power instantaneous extracting because the solar irradiance keeps changing all day this can be achieved exactly by varying the control value of the converter in agreement with the fractional open circuit value. The nonlinearity nature of I-V characteristics curves of the PV panel at various insolation levels and the core magnetization nature in DC Shunt motor are both represented by using high order polynomial mathematical functions. The dynamical, transient and the steady state characteristic study of the DC Shunt motor supplied from PV generator at different insolation levels have been established. Numerical simulations are performed and manifested using MATLAB software.
