Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties Deterioration of Cement Concrete of Airfield Pavement under Fatigue Loading
In order to explore the deterioration laws of mechanical properties of pavement cement concrete under aircraft wheel loading, we used the MTS-810 fatigue test machine to carry out the fatigue loading on cement concrete specimens. Two stress levels of 0.5 and 0.7 are selected to represent the normal loading level and the high loading level respectively. The concrete mechanical properties deterioration mechanism is explored by testing its flexural tensile strength. The results show that the flexural tensile strength of pavement concrete increases first and then decreases under the stress level of 0.5. After 50000 times fatigue loading, the residual flexural strength increases by 4.87%, but decreases by 6.71 % after 200000 times. Under the stress level of 0.7, the flexural strength of pavement concrete gradually decreases. After 150000 times fatigue loading, the residual flexural strength decreases by 19.80%, the concrete brittle fracture occurs and the strength is lost after 170000~180000 times fatigue loading. The higher the loading stress level is, the more serious the mechanical properties of cement concrete deteriorate.
