Multi-disruption resilience assessment of urban supply networks of basic necessities
Urban supply networks of basic necessities play a crucial role in ensuring the normal life of urban residents. However, in the post-pandemic era, urban supply networks continue to encounter various uncertainties and potential risks. In this paper, we develop a linear programming model to assess the performance of an urban supply network under disruptions. Based on this model, a quantitative resilience metric is developed to evaluate changes of urban supply networks performance under multi-disruption scenarios. Moreover, we examine the impact of emergency response plans on enhancing urban supply networks’ resilience. The quantitative findings demonstrate the positive influence of emergency response plans on improving the actual performance and resilience of urban supply networks. These results highlight the effectiveness of such plans in mitigating disruptions and ensuring the smooth operation of urban supply networks. This study contributes valuable insights into the assessment and management of urban supply networks.
