Research on Evaluation of Expressway Ramp Isolated Metering Strategy in Shanghai
This paper firstly reviews several representative isolated ramp-metering control Strategies including non-control, pre-timed control, ALINEA control and DC control. Further the selected control strategies are simulated in VISSIM and VAP control module using the field data on Jiangsu Expressway. At last, according to the simulation result, ALINEA has the better integrated performance than the other strategies considering total travel time, delay, congestion time and other MOE's.
