Strategies for FMCW radars
In this paper, we present a comparison of two strategies for FMCW radars. The potential presence of multiple targets implies using specific waveforms for beat frequencies association. Here, we compare performance of two such waveforms in terms of targets distance and velocity estimation. Our comparison, based on theoretical bounds derivation is validated by Monte Carlo simulations. In particular we show that Barankin variance bounds yields conclusions that are in good agreement with results of simulation experiments.
