Residential indoor space Aging Transformation in small towns
China has stepped into a serious period of population aging. The contradiction between people's demand for aging transformation and the backward level of aging transformation has become increasingly prominent, especially in the poor economical small towns. Questionnaires and Field interviews were employed to investigate the pension patterns of small towns in the western, eastern and southern Sichuan regions, and the characteristics of the indoor living space and the popularization of aging transformation. The indoor public space and private space for the elderly were analysed. The main problems to be solved in the indoor living space of the elderly in small towns are the space of kitchen and bathroom is narrow and dry and wet is not divided, the installation rate of aging facilities is low, the acousto-optic thermal environment comfort design is not enough, there are too many safety risks for indoor facilities, the overall living environment is not suitable for the elderly and so on. Therefore, this study proposes an appropriate aging transformation plan for indoor color, lighting, suitable furniture and facilities to improve the environment quality of the home-based care services.
