Architektur und Innenausstattung des 1873 erbauten Langhauses (50 m lang, 14 m breit, auf 30 Eisenholzträgern 15 m über dem Boden errichtet) und der Alltag seiner Bewohner sind Thema der Dokumentation: Reisanbau, Gewinnung und Weiterverarbeitung von Rotan, dörfliches Leben am Flußufer, Aspekte der Totenverehrung. Während eines Willkommenfestes, an dem das ganze Dorf teilnimmt, werden verschiedene Tänze aufgeführt.
The film shows the architecture and the interior decoration of a longhouse built in 1873 (50 metres long, 14 metres wide, constructed upon 30 ironwood girders 15 metres above the ground) and the daily life of its inhabitans: rice cultivation, collecting and processing rotan, village life on the river bank, aspects of the veneration of the dead. During a welcome festival, in which the whole village takes part, different dances are performed.
