National Dam Safety Program. Crystal Lake Dam (MO 30462), Mississippi - Kaskaskia - St. Louis Basin, Jefferson County, Missouri. Phase I Inspection Report
The dam and lake are located on an unnamed tributary of La Barque Creek. The dam impounds water for the purpose of private recreation for surrounding residential property owners, who are members of the Lakewood Hills Property Owners Association. Major defects, including reconstruction of the upstream slope of the dam and sealing of the lake bottom, observed during this inspection are, according to the owner, planned to be corrected sometime this summer (1978) when a contract for remedial work on the dam and lake area is awarded. The remaining deficiencies observed during the inspection are not considered of major consequence to warrant immediate remedial action.
