During the last decades the number of sick buildings and the number of people with allergies have increased rapidly in Sweden and other Western countries. In the report, the most common methods to measure indoor air pollution as well as emissions directly from material surfaces are described. Emissions from building materials have a special interest as these materials are often used in building components with large surfaces like floors, walls, and ceilings.
