WESHAKE for Personal Computers Version 1.0 (for Microcomputers)
One of the basic problems to be solved by geotechnical engineers in the regions where earthquake hazards exist is to estimate the site-specific dynamic response of a layered soil deposit for ground-level conditions. WESHAKE may be used to accomplish this task. WESHAKE is an adaptation of the original program, SHAKE, written at the University of California at Berkely (1972). WESHAKE is modified by the Waterways Experiment Station (WES) to keep pace with the state-of-the-art technology and to provide a user-friendly interface.
