Microstructure of the Interfacial Zone around Aggregate Particles in Concrete
The study is aimed at: (1) examining the microstructural characteristics of the interfacial region around aggregate particles in concrete and (2) exploring the influence of this interfacial zone on some of the properties of concrete such as, the compressive strength, the water transport capacity, and the diffusion of ions into concretes prepared with and without mineral additives.
