The improvements discussed herein consist of the widening of a nine-mile section of Interstate Highway 91 in Hartford and Windsor, Connecticut, the addition of another mile section of Interstate 291 in Windsor, and an interchange in Windsor created at their junction. The greatest impact will not be on ecological systems but rather on the surrounding community, which will be to some extend dislocated and disrupted.
