Synthesis of Highway Practice: 23. Getting Research Findings Into Practice
The report presents the results of a comprehensive review and analysis of existing information on the various procedures that have been employed by highway agencies under a wide variety of organizational structures to translate the results of research into practice. Most successful procedures were found to be constructed around the premise that effective implementation is a continuous process that begins at the earliest stage of planning of a research endeavor and remains active until utilization of the product of the endeavor is realized.
