A Plan for Two Cities 1968-1985. Homestead - Florida City
The report constitutes comprehensive development plans for the urban communities of Homestead and Florida City, as conditioned by the urbanizing influences in South Dade ounty as a whole over the next 20 years. Planning goals and objectives as appearing in the plan, were submitted to each city as a component of local plan review. Along with supporting text, the recommendations herein are in the form of both regional and urban land use maps, as well as regional plan maps for circulation and community facilities. A further section in this document, in the form of a development plan for downtown Homestead, supports the overall plan recommendation that it strive to become a regional shopping center.
