American Housing Survey for the Buffalo Metropolitan Area in 1994. 20th Anniversary Edition of the AHS
The report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1994 American Housing Survey Metropolitan Sample for the Buffalo metropolitan area. The area was represented by a sample of approximately 4,250 designated housing units. The sample size was divided between the central city and the balance of the respective area based on a proportionate distribution of all housing units in the area. Tables on the total housing inventory include vacant units, general housing characteristics, the condition and quality of the unit and the neighborhood, size of the unit and lot, equipment and fuels, and financial characteristics. Tables on total occupied units address general housing characteristics, the condition and quality of the unit and the neighborhood, size of the unit and lot, equipment and fuels, household composition, recent movers, and financial characteristics. The same data are provided for owner-occupied units, renter-occupied units occupied units with a black householder, and occupied units with a householder of Hispanic origin. Three tables provide cross tabulations of financial characteristics by a variety of other factors.
