The objective of this study was to develop, crash test, and evaluate transition designs for the following W-beam guardrail transitions: Wyoming TL-3 twin steel tube bridge rail; Wyoming TL-4 twin steel tube bridge rail; and New Jersey shape concrete bridge barrier rail with tapered toe section. FHWA acceptance letters and detailed plans are enclosed.
