The study describes the conventional urban renewal project being carried out by the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority in St. Joseph, Missouri, to include conservation, rehabilitation, and clearance and redevelopment activities for a forty (40) block (95 acres) downtown area. The project will increase commercial and office activity, improve central business facilities, increase demand on the urban structure, create some construction disturbance, and cause an impact on historical areas, particularly, those listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
