A series of design equations are presented along with a failure criterion which will permit the design of mechanical shear connectors for curved composite girders. The design procedure is applicable to single span girders only. The procedure is a simplified ultimate load design techniques requiring a trial and error approach. Although the design equations are intended for bridges structures, other applications are possible. (Author)
