The purpose of this project was to shed light on the feasibility of using physical planning, on an action area plan or local plan level, to create an urban development which would economize on energy resources in an efficient manner. The prerequisites applying to the project are, of course, influenced by decisions and conditions at the overall or structure plan level as well as by the design of the buildings involved.
