Study on Analysis of Thermal Stress Due to Heat of Hydration in Concrete
To verify the validity of an analysis of thermal stresses due to heat of hydration in concrete and its analytical accuracy, material tests were carried out to understand the change in the physical properties (strength, elastic modulus, coefficient of linear thermal expansion, and creep coefficient) of young aged concrete. Furthermore, concrete model tests on the thermal stress caused by the construction joint between new and old concretes were carried out.
