Cooperative Wildlife Management Areas: Idaho Wildlife Isolated Tracts Program
The Idaho Isolated Tracts are managed cooperatively and involve the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG), private landowners and the Intermountain Forest and Range Experiment Station of the Forest Service. Over 240 tracts are present in the Boise, Burley and Shoshone Districts and they vary in size from 14 to 2,050 acres. New tracts are identified through BLM planning processes in the Boise and Idaho Falls Districts and this will bring the total area under cooperative management to about 51,000 acres.
