Bridge - Standard Systems
A survey of standards for bridges which exist in the U.S. and Canada was conducted. Pertinent information concerning these standards was placed into a matrix in a spread sheet format using Lotus 1-2-3 and an IBM/PC microcomputer. The information was reviewed for possible use in developing plans for standard bridge systems which could be used by county engineers in Washington. It is recommended that designs for at least one standard bridge system be developed for each of the primary materials readily available in Washington, namely: steel, concrete and wood.
