The report is the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Sumiton. The following elements of the Comprehensive Plan -- Population and Economy, the Land Use Plan, Community Facilities Plan, Major Street Plan, Housing Element, and Capital Improvements Program represent current thinking on the most efficient and orderly growth of Sumiton in the future. The Land Use Plan discusses the amount and distribution of residential, commercial, industrial, and public land uses in the future. The Community Facilities element concerns those structures and areas which provide supporting services for the population and the basic non-residential activities. The Major Street Plan outlines proposals for the most efficient traffic circulation system in Cordova. The Housing Element consists of a thorough analysis of existing housing conditions and a proposed five-year program to alleviate blighted housing. (Author)
