The first part of this work, the architectural survey, is like an inventory system in a business - it records infonnation essential for decision-making. The architectural survey presents in a concise and comprehensible fonn the results of a review of each structure and significant topographical feature in the study area. Each structure is examined to determine approximate age, style, and the degree to which its original character is currently intact. The objective is to identify sites and areas where historic preservation action may be appropriate now or in the future.
