Survival of Pathogens in Sewage Stabilization Ponds
In semi-arid areas where water supplies are being depleted at alarming rates, re-use of water is of paramount importance. The investigation was initiated in an attempt to determine the survivability of amoebic cysts, intestinal flagellates, and ova of helminths at various phases of the stabilization process. Only those organisms pathogenic to man were to be investigated.
