This report provides information and analysis on the physical condition of the dam as of the report date. Information and analysis are based on visual inspectin of the dam by the performing organization. The examination of documents and visual inspection of Clear Lake Dam and appurtenant structures did not reveal conditions which constitute a hazard to human life or property. The dam, however, has a number of problem areas which require remedial action. The discharge capacity of the spillway is inadequate for all floods in excess of 50% of the Probable Maximum Flood (PMF). During the 1/2 PMF event the water surface will be at the top of the dam and the outflow will be 4254 cfs. The spillway is therefore assessed as inadequate.
