Design of a Wind Tunnel for Atmospheric Dispersion Studies
The Electricity Commission of New South Wales is planning to build a wind tunnel to be used for the modelling of dispersion of effluents from tall chimneys. BHRA was commissioned to prepare a preliminary pneumatic design for this wind tunnel. This report describes the major design requirements for the tunnel, which will be situated outside. Furthermore, a description of the type of instrumentation is given and the scaling techniques used for dispersion studies are briefly outlined.
