Design Section A002: Rockville Route. Subsurface Investigation, Location of Single-Track Tunnel between Lafayette Park and Farragut Square
Results of 14 borings performed between the northwest quadrant of Lafayette Park and Farragut Square in Rockville Route are summarized in the report. The purpose of the investigation was to obtain additional information on the condition of decomposed rock and weathered rock in the lower part of the subway excavation. The report contains revised geological sections through the borings, logs of the borings and conclusions regarding subsurface conditions. (Author)
