In this Nordtest project, a round-robin test was carried out in the Scandinavian countries to evaluate the repeatability and reproducibility of the commonly used test methods for determining chloride content in concrete with blended cement. Eight laboratories from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland participated the round-robin test. Eight reference samples representing three levels of chloride content (0.15%, 0.45% and 2% by mass of binder) and four types of binder (OPC, flyash cement, slag cement and silica fume cement) were tested by using three different test methods: the potentiometric titration according to AASHTO T260, the Rapid Chloride Test (RCT) according to German Instruments A/S, and the Volhard titration according to NT BUILD 2082. The international standard ISO 5725 was employed for precision analyses.
