Reconstruction of Manzanita Avenue Bridge and Approaches Over Big Chico Creek in Bidwell Park, in the City of Chico and County of Butte, California
The proposed development is the construction of a new two-lane bridge and approaches to replace the existing substandard Manzanita Avenue Bridge over Big Chico Creek in Bidwell Municipal Park. The replacement structure will be built on a new alignment and will provide for two lanes of vehicular traffic, equestrian and pedestrian facilities on the structure as well as pedestrian and equestrian facilities passing underneath same. Also included in this project is the relocation of an existing park drive and an intersection. It will provide improved traffic circulation for both the local and adjacent urban areas. The net environmental impact of this project is considered positive.
