Consequence analysis of a postulated NaOH release from the 2727-W sodium storage facility
Toxicological and radiological consequences were calculated for a maximum sodium fire in the 2727-W Sodium Storage Facility. The sodium is solid and cannot leak out of the tanks. The maximum fire therefore corresponded to the maximum cross-sectional area of one tank. It was shown that release of the entire facility inventory of Na-22 is insufficient to produce an appreciable effect.
