The Thomas Pate House and Lot 42 in Yorktown, Colonial National Historical Park, Yorktown, Virginia
The report deals with the second oldest surviving home in Yorktown, Virginia. Formerly part of the Blow Estate, it was purchased in October 1968 by the Federal Government for addition to Colonial National Historical Park. The house is considered to be architecturally important and contributes much to the Main Street scene. It is a structure of primary interest in the Customhouse-Nelson House-Grace Church sector. The study represents as full a file as possible of detailed historical data about the house and its use, as well as information of special interest concerning the grounds and the occupants of the property during the l8th century.
