The book presents the principles of organizing airport construction. It describes preparatory, earth-moving and agricultural operations and shows the construction of the water drainage network. An extensive description is given of the types of airport pavements and of the methods of constructing them. Recommendations, based on study of advanced experience of airfield construction organizations, are given about adapting the most effective methods for executing the work with maximum utilization of mechanization facilities.
