Central Eastside Industrial Revitalization Study. Final Report

The city of Portland adopted a commitment to revitalize the industrial districts of the city. The revitalization plan for the Central Eastside Industrial District is the first of such other plans that the city intends to undertake in its industrial areas. The District is one of the largest in the city. More than 11,000 people are employed by more than 800 firms in the area. Objectives of the study include a comprehensive feasibility study for the planning and development of the economic revitalization of the Central Eastside Industrial District with private and public sector participation; a five-year public capital improvement program to assist the industrial district revitalization; and a planned employment center with an existing in-city industrial district.
