Housing Market Outlook
The housing market outlook shows the relative incidence of inadequate housing by Tennessee's local development districts and their constituent counties, where the new additions to the housing stock have gone and are anticipated to go from 1970 to 1975, and the cumulative housing need remaining at 1975 and 1980. Also contained in the Outlook are analyses of vacant units, seasonal homes, mobile homes, projected losses of units in the housing inventory, shifts in new construction types (single v. multi-family housing) over time, as well as estimates to show what kind of housing should be constructed in counties that may have a surplus of one type of housing but a deficit of another type to meet their total housing 'need'.
