Relocation of Delaware Route 72, Chapel Street in the City of Newark, New Castle County, Delaware
The proposed highway improvement is located east of Newark in New Castle County, Delaware and involves relocation of the present South Chapel Street. The project which begins at a point approximately 2,700 feet south of Penn Central Railroad tracks and ends at a point 700 feet north of Cleveland Avenue, involves a two lane arterial and a bridge at the Penn Central Railroad crossing. The following environmental impacts are considered: safety; traffic flow; water pollution; air pollution; noise pollution; community disruption; proposed land use planning; aesthetic values; historic values; pedestrians and bicycles.
