Building Societal Support for the Rule of Law in Georgia: Summary of Project Report
This summary is based on the Project Report submitted by the National Strategy Information Center (NSIC) to the National Institute of Justice. Completed in October 2003, the report describes a two-year process undertaken by NSIC to: (1) assess the extent of existing pro-lawfulness efforts, the feasibility of expanding them, and opportunities to reinforce them; (2) assess Georgian leaders interest in and commitment to building societal support for the rule of law; and (3) identify appropriate and significant lawfulness-building activities, begin to build consensus in various sectors of Georgian society around these proposed activities, and produce an action plan and timeline for their implementation.
