Wilson Pond Dam consists of a stone masonry spillway with and adjacent intake structure to divert water into a power canal. The power canal is separated from the downstream channel by and approximately 120-ft. long earth and rock dike. The centerline crest length of the dam is approximately 78 ft. The height of the dam is about 24 ft. The dam is in fair condition, based on a visual examination of the structure. Although several deficiencies were noted, there was no evidence of settlement, lateral movement or other signs of structural failure, or other conditions which would warrant urgent remedial action. Hydraulic analysed indicate that the routed test flood outflow of 34,500 cfs (inflow 40,500 cfs of 1,500 csm) would overtop the dam by about 9 ft. With the water level at the top of dam, and no flashboards in place, the spillway capacity is approximately 2,100 cfs which is approximately 6 percent of the test flood.
