The project provides for the relocation of an 8.5 mile section of U.S. Highway 169 between the city of Chisholm and the village of Kinney. The proposed relocated section of U.S. Highway 169 will by-pass the city of Chisholm and the villages of Fraser, Buhl and Kinney. The new facility will improve the transportation quality as to safety, capacity and travel time, and will reduce congestion, noise and air pollution in Chisholm, Buhl and Kinney. However, five homes and two businesses will have to be relocated.
