Reclamation: Managing Water in the West. Record of Decison on Final Environmental Impact Statement for Fish Passage Improvement Project at the Red Bluff Diversion Dam
The ultimate goal of the Red Bluff Diversion Dam Fish Passage Improvement Program is to provide necessary improvements in fish passage conditions at the dam pursuant to the CVPIA, while retaining the ability to continue water deliveries. Reclamation has decided that the only reliable way to achieve this goal is to increase the amount of time the dam is operated in the gates-out configuration. Construction of a new pumping plant will provide additional flexibility to continue water deliveries during gates-out dam operation.
