Technical Report on Housing in the Erie-Niagara Region. First Year Study
The State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNYAB) 600 million dollar new campus will require over 18,000 housing units by 1985, and 13,000 of these units will be needed by 1977. An analysis of vacant land, utility service, zoning and building codes, housing and land costs, and availability of financing was undertaken to assess the ability of the SUNYAB area to accommodate this need. A second major focus of this housing study was low-income and minority group housing problems. Housing demand and supply, the transfer of housing, and rent withholding and code enforcement were examined. The third part of this study includes a listing of the activities and plans of over 100 housing-related agencies in the Erie-Niagara Region. (Author)
