Thermal Radiation from LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) Trench Fires. Volume 3. Movie Script
The current federal regulations for LNG facilities require a thermal radiation exclusion zone for public safety around spill impoundment systems. The size of this zone is determined by applying a thermal radiation model that was developed for large circular or near circular pool fires. Since trench (elongated pool) fires behave differently from circular pool fires, an experimental test program was conducted to monitor the fire behavior and thermal radiation from large-scale LNG trench fires. This volume presents the text of the script and the still graphics used in producing a documentary film covering the project activities and results for an audience consisting primarily of gas industry representatives and government regulators.
