Interstate 90 and U.S. T.H. 169, Faribault County, Minnesota
The I-90 project begins approximately 1.3 miles west of the present junction of U.S. Highway 169. Proceeding easterly, the proposed route crosses the Blue Earth River and inplace U.S. Highway 169 (north of the city of Blue Earth) and terminates approximately 1.2 miles east of inplace U.S. Highway 169. The I-90 project length is 2.5 miles. The improvement will provide a 4-lane divided roadway with full control of access. The U.S. Highway 169 project begins on present U.S. Highway 169, 1.0 mile south of the South Corporate Limits of the city of Blue Earth and terminates 1/4 mile north of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 8 north of the city of Blue Earth. The U.S. Highway 169 project length is approximately 4.8 miles. The projects will require approximately 53 ac/mile of agricultural lands for I-90 and 40 ac/mile for a part of U.S. Highway 169 construction. The proposed construction will cause the displacement of about six families and three commercial businesses. Access will be fully controlled on I-90 and partially controlled on U.S. Highway 169.
