The Bureau of Reclamation, in cooperation with the U.S. Geological Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs conducted a flood wave test to collect transient ground-water response data from several cross sections of piezometers on the Albuquerque reach of the Rio Grande. The testing was performed during the spring runoff period of 1994. The primary focus of the Assessment is understanding and protecting or enhancing mechanisms influencing surface water surface water and ground water interactions responsible for natural aquifer recharge.
