High Strength Concrete Phase 3. SP5: Fatigue Report 5.1. Fatigue in Compression under Stress Gradients. Appendices
Two types of high strength concrete are included: a normal density ND95, and a lightweight aggregate concrete, LWA75. A total of 39 prismatic specimens, of three sizes, were exposed to static and cyclic, centric and eccentric loading. The varied eccentricities expressed as a fraction of the specimen height are basically h/18 and h/6, but also a few specimens with h/12 are included. All specimens were instrumented for strain measurements with electronic strain gauges. This report presents the material and specimen data, the testing programme, the test results, and a discussion of the results.
